1:1 Book & body-of-work coaching for
visionary iconoclasts & third-culture thinkers

Create a book or body of work that
brings all of you to the table,
shifts paradigms, & opens new doors.

Where rare ideas come to bloom

You’ve spent years—no, decades—becoming the person you are now. You’ve navigated different cultures, disciplines, identities, and professions. You’ve accumulated an impressive portfolio of expertise and experience. There are burning questions you keep returning to. Threads you know belong together in ways the world hasn't caught up to.Yet.

A book doesn’t emerge from your intellect alone. Neither does a body of work.

It is infused with who you've been and who you are becoming. Your ambitions, desires, and loyalties—some of these obvious, and some hidden, even from you.Your relationships. Your culture and lineage. Your body. Your obsessions. Your pleasure. Your fear. Your desire. The many worlds you belong to, and the unique way of seeing you've developed through a lifetime of moving between them.

Our work together brings all of this to the table

Leave these dimensions unexplored, and they will find a way to make themselves known: in ideas you keep circling but can’t quite claim, the structure that won’t cohere, a voice that loses its nerve, or work that stalls just as it begins to ripen into something of consequence.

At the same time, the territory that holds your resistance also holds the perspective, conviction, and creative force that will make your work radically yours.

BRASS-TACKS STRATEGY + PSYCHE-SPELUNKING

Together, we’ll work the brass tacks:Your ideas. Your argument. The throughline. Structure and form. Voice. Audience. Positioning. Marketplace translation. How all the disparate pieces of your thinking fit together, and whether they actually hold up. For books, that can also mean proposals, pitching, and publishing strategy. And of course, the writing itself. We will also work with the larger ecology of your burning creative desire. What makes it burn? What is it connected to in your life, your history, your relationships, your body, your culture? What is it honestly asking of you? What becomes possible for your book or body of work when you create from that heat?

Hi, I'm Andrea Ocier.

I’ve spent my working life moving between worlds.I started as a writer and editor, writing about arts and culture in the Philippines and China.
I then spent fifteen years working in movement and wellness in San Francisco.
Now, I am a certified nonfiction book coach and practitioner of systemic family constellations.
I am also a psychotherapist-in-training.
On paper, these might look like disparate pursuits. To me, they are different ways of exploring our depths and edges. Experiencing ourselves as sites of transformation.
And living and creating from the full complexity of who we are.

I collaborate with iconoclastic, third-culture thinkers to shape bold, nuanced books and
bodies of work that challenge dominant narratives and bring more humanity to their fields.
